Job Description

We have an opening available for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Plant Operations! The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Plant Operations department through administrative and secretarial support to the health care team.

Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.

Position Overview

We have an opening available for an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Plant Operations! The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Plant Operations department through administrative and secretarial support to the health care team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains appointment calendars, schedules meetings, screens telephone calls and processes mail timely and accurately
  • Oversees the contract process, assists in preparing and maintaining contracts according to CHS and other regulatory agency policies and recommendations
  • Prepares and submits reports accurately and timely as required by Chiefs and/or CHS
  • Assists Chiefs with meetings, correspondence or Hospital issues in a timely and positive manner
  • Prepares Board and Department Director meeting agendas and minutes timely and accurately
  • Prepares monthly Event and Personnel and Physician On-Call Calendars timely and accurately
  • Assists directors and other co-workers by providing information, scheduling appointments and relaying messages accurately and timely
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred 
  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience in health care setting
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Requires strong independent judgment skills to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload
