Impact the future of the life sciences industry by helping Medidata identify and strategically partner with patients, patient communities and patient advocacy groups to build the next generation of clinical trial solutions.
Work with senior leaders, customers and external thought leaders to identify strategic market opportunities for Patient Cloud products and to develop ways to involve Patients in planning for product offerings and enhancements. Projects will span a broad range of areas but will always be strategically important to Medidata’s future growth and success. They include long-term strategy, market opportunity assessments, collection of external thought leadership and leading our annual planning process.
This visible role requires strong collaboration skills both with Medidata’s product leadership team as well as line-managers across the organization. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Patient Engagement and will be responsible for:
Patient engagement strategy: You will play an integral role in shaping our long-term strategy via industry & opportunity analysis as well as developing and assessing strategic options for engagement that can impact our product offerings
Patient Centricity by Design Program: You will help manage the overall PCxD program and ensure advocates and focus groups are developed and supported for ongoing product initiatives.
Internal/External Patient Advisory Boards: You will help manage the Patient Advocacy Steering Committees and the Patient Design Advocacy Board for Patient Cloud, engaging with external thought leaders to inform our future strategy. You will also be working with customer advisory boards on behalf of the Patient Cloud team as needed.
Strategic projects: Lead or support other strategic and operational initiatives to drive our future success.

Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Patient Engagement to establish the key insights into the patient perspective to develop and implement meaningful engagement strategies.
Identify new and innovative solutions to deliver a unique clinical trial experience that resonates with patients.
Advance and identify innovative approaches and solutions that incorporate and respect the patient journey participating in a clinical trial.
Be an expert in patients’ needs, attitudes, and behaviors and how those needs influence deliverables targeted for the patients and clinical research participants.
Develop a deep understanding for the patient’s network of trusted stakeholders that shape and influence their care decisions.
Passion to create solutions that create smarter treatments and healthier people. Familiarity with life sciences industry a plus
Curiosity to learn, drive to continuously improve and creativity to arrive at better solutions.
Collaborate with Sr. Director of Patient Engagement to establish and maintain relationships with key advocacy groups involved in key areas of clinical research including Oncology, Diabetes, Rare Diseases and more.
Your Education & Experience:
Requires a minimum of 5 years of work experience, of which 3+ years in strategy consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG or comparable strategy practice)
Additional work-experience in software or life-sciences businesses a plus
Proven results in cross-functional project management in fast-paced, highly matrixed environments
