Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has anopening for a Logistics Support 2 to join our team of qualified,diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.
The successful candidatereceives, stores, and issues tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, and measuringdevices. Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodicinventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, ormissing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate informationand maintain database. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment;disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with establishedprocedure. Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated. Providessupport to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation toestablish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and relatedmanuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materialsrequired for additional efforts. Modifies maintenance records such as repairstandards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for,and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals;tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storagefacilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logisticsdeployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifieslogistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technicalmanuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of additional education and/or experience inlogistics or tool inventory control position. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be able to work standing up for extended periods of time. Must be able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required. Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license. Active Secret DoD clearance Must be able to obtain and retain Special Program access Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as required. Preferred Qualifications: Top Secret clearance Familiarization with tool accountability system TCMAX. Understanding of hazardous material processes andprocedures in conjunction with maintaining re-stock points of PEB, bench/shopstock and consumables. 3 years of customer service experience
