JOB DESCRIPTION As a member of the HR Total Rewards Team, this role will contribute to the development and execution of compensation programs in line with Vontier’s compensation philosophy and strategy. This role will have direct responsibility for compensation research and administration, benchmarking, analysis and is accountable for the administration of compensation programs and policies. This role will also be responsible for equity administration and program management. You will establish analytic frameworks and/or improve upon existing frameworks, thoroughly document processes and procedures, and identify opportunities for improvement. This role requires interaction with organizational stakeholders such as HRBPs, Finance, IT, and Legal (both Vontier Corporate and OpCos). At times will be interacting with executive team. Accountabilities: Administers and effectively communicates the company's compensation plans / programs.
Support significant Compensation initiatives, including but not limited to:
Annual compensation planning process (LTI, base pay, bonus); project management and implementation activities
Equity (LTI) administration and analysis
Salary range development and implementation
Working closely with the Sr. Director, Compensation and/or other Rewards colleagues research and resolve compensation issues; perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis, provide appropriate consultation to HR and/or management.
Support benchmarking activities including survey review and participation for compensation programs
Summarize results, identify trends and assess relevance to our local business/talent pool. Recommend appropriate outcomes in line with Company Compensation philosophy and strategy.
Ensure proper alignment of benchmarks across geographies and business lines.
Contributes to implementation of new compensation programs.
Reviews and provides recommendations for improvements to processes, procedures, policies, and plans to reflect new and current programs as needed with an eye toward best practices.
Perform additional duties as assigned. Working Relationships: Reports to Sr. Director, Global Compensation
Key working relationships internally across the Global Total Rewards team, HR, IT, Payroll, Legal, and Finance both with in Corporate as well as OpCos
Key working relationships externally with third party vendors including but not limited to Mercer, Willis, Towers Watson, Fidelity
Government agencies as well as internal and external legal counsel – Required filings, responses to requests for information Required Skills and Experience: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in compensation program design and administration
Experience supporting multi-state operations within the U.S and globally a plus.
Compensation benchmarking experience, having supported compensation benchmarking across a global organization.
Salary range development and implementation.
Applied understanding of statutory requirements across various countries including but not limited to equity analysis, pro-ration requirements, and wage and hour considerations a plus.
Experience working with internal and external resources, including HR, IT, Payroll, Legal, Finance, Vendors and Consultants.
A self-starter with initiative and strong customer/client orientation, collaboration, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Works well with teams or in a team environment
Exercise sound judgment and retain the highest degree of confidentiality
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, advanced Excel skills preferred but not required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong business acumen; possess professional maturity and curiosity
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, flexible and creative; strong sense of urgency. Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience with compensation plans including base salary administration, short-term incentive, and long-term incentive design, globally a plus
Executive compensation experience, including proxy statement Compensation Discussion and Analysis preparation preferred but not required
Experience with HCM systems (especially Core HR and Compensation) a plus
Global experience a plus
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working towards a CCP
